Debating whether to go on a cruise for vacation? Let’s get into 5 reasons why you should book one!
#1 reason why you should go on a cruise: all day entertainment
The top reason to go on a cruise is you will be entertained ALL DAY. Anyone who has gone cruising before understands that there’s nothing boring about it. From day one, there are several events happening on board. It does not stop until you disembark. Some examples include, Broadway shows, BINGO, dance parties, casinos, contests, comedy shows. The list goes on. Not to mention, you can create entertainment for yourself. Go out on deck and listen to the waves. Chill in your stateroom for a while and watch TV. The options are endless. There’s absolutely no reason to be bored on a cruise.

#2 Reason why you should go on a cruise: all you can eat
This leads to my second reason why you should go on a cruise. It’s all-inclusive, which means you can eat as much as you want. Which, for some folks this is a form of entertainment too. Especially while on vacation!! There are several restaurants to choose from which are included with your stay. In addition, the cuisines change each night. Moreover, there are options for just about every diet. Thus, there’s no worries about what you’ll eat each night. Of course, specialty dining is offered which can be enjoyed for an extra fee. However, with all the main dining options, you’ll have plenty to choose from.
#3 reason: room service
The third reason to go on a cruise is, ROOM SERVICE!! You will have a stateroom attendant to take care of you during your cruise. Therefore, your bed, towels and all other necessities are replaced each afternoon. Although your attendant is there to take care of you, it’s always courteous to tip. These are some of the hardest working men and women I’ve ever met.
#4 Reason: several ports of call
The fourth reason to go on a cruise is that there are several ports of call. What are ports of call? These are the ports where the ship docks during your cruise. For example, I may book a 7-day cruise that stops in Falmouth, Jamaica, Montego Bay, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico. In a matter of seven days, I’ve visited two countries. The culture in each country is rich and provides several opportunities to learn about the people indigenous to the country. Furthermore, request that your travel agent book a culture rich experience/excursion. One where you’ll taste cuisines and interact with some of the natives who live there. Visiting different ports present opportunities to learn, experience and explore.

#5 Reason: beautiful scenery
The fifth reason to go on a cruise is because of the absolutely beautiful scenery. This includes the scenery of the ocean and throughout the ports. While sailing the ocean, the sunsets are breathtaking. I personally, spend time on the ship’s helicopter pad and deck looking for marine life as well as listening to the waves. However, not everyone chooses to sail the same region. Therefore, you are liable to see whales, otters and other marine life make cameos during your time on the ocean too. Just take a peek out of the picture window while enjoying dinner. You’ll be surprised at what you discover!
